Support Automotive Finance with Expert Accounts Administration

As an Accounts Assistant at Mercedes-Benz of Dartford, you will play a vital role in managing and processing supplier invoices, ensuring all payments are accurate, timely, and compliant with our company processes. You will contribute to the smooth operation of our dealership’s financial activities and work closely with both the accounts and dealership teams.

Essential Skills & Attributes for an Accounts Assistant

• Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail in financial administration.
• Good communication skills for liaising with colleagues and suppliers.
• Proficient IT abilities, including competency with Microsoft Excel and finance systems
• Organisational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Previous experience in accounts or a finance assistant role is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate.
• Capability and willingness to learn new accounting systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities in an Automotive Accounts Role

• Receive and process supplier invoices, coding and matching them against purchase orders.
• The role will involve posting daily banking transactions and warranty credit notes.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any invoice queries promptly and professionally.
• Prepare debtor reports for management review
• Receive and post daily credit card transactions
• Prepare and process payments ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Assist the accounts department with end-of-month activities and closing processes.
• Support the wider accounts team with general administrative tasks as required.
• Comply with all auditing, data protection, and financial control guidelines at all times.
